Samlesbury Hall’s Victorian Gatehouse is a private cottage which offers luxurious accommodation for up to 6 people in a historic atmosphere.
The Gatehouse includes a King-size double bedroom, bathroom with double shower and roll top bath, dressing room or second bedroom and a lounge with high definition television and Nespresso coffee maker, all of which have been designed with heritage colours and fabrics to provide an authentic historical interior with all the home comforts you require.

As our exclusive bridal suite, the Gatehouse is also the perfect setting for your wedding day. With full-length mirrors, a dedicated rail for your wedding gown, and elegant surroundings for those special pre-ceremony moments, it offers everything a bride could wish for.
Amazing breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas can be enjoyed at The Garden Room Eatery (booking is advised). Maria’s Tea Room and Gift Shop is in the pretty courtyard, for delicious home baking and a cosy cuppa. Plus you can visit the historic manor house and grounds during our normal opening days and times.
Just returned from a lovely night’s stay in The Gatehouse to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary which was so special as we were married at Samlesbury hall and spent our wedding night in the lodge. Top class lodgings, wonderful grounds and surroundings, great food and drink and the awe inspiring history of the hall all made for a fantastic stay.

HOW MANY PEOPLE DOES THE GATEHOUSE SLEEP?
Our charming cottage sleeps up to 6 – one double, two singles, and a super comfy sofa bed in the living room.

CAN WE COOK IN THE GATEHOUSE?
Much like a premier hotel suite, the Gatehouse doesn’t offer cooking facilities in order to keep it pristine and fresh. You can however store some nibbles in the fridge, or make yourself a decent cuppa – there is a Nespresso Machine for you to use.
You can always get yourself an amazing breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea from The Garden Room Eatery, or you would be welcome to order something to enjoy later in the evening.
Home baked cakes, scones and savouries, together with local tipples, can be found in Maria’s Tea Room during the day – why not treat yourself?
CAN I TREAT MYSELF TO A LIE-IN?
Yes of course! Check in is from 4-5pm, and check out is from 10am, but an early check in or late check out is available on request, subject to availability and a small fee.
