VOLUNTEERING

Alongside our full and part time staff, volunteers contribute greatly towards the running of the Hall and grounds.

Whether you are a passionate history buff, a green-fingered gardener, a multi-skilled handyman or just want to be involved with our beautiful historic house, then volunteering at Samlesbury Hall could be for you.

We enthusiastically support local learning and skills initiatives, working with agencies and educational establishments to provide positive and meaningful opportunities at the Hall.

Volunteers have the opportunity to meet like-minded people and make new social connections when they become part of the volunteering team at Samlesbury Hall.

Volunteers receive mileage or public transport costs, lunch and drinks and any uniform or personal protective equipment that is required.

Whether you have a few hours spare each week, or are looking for a greater level of involvement, get in contact with us to have a friendly chat to find out more.

My friend Elaine and I did our internship in Samlesbury Hall. It was a fantastic experience for us and we had a lot of fun! The staff and the volunteers were really friendy and patient with us. Even when we wouldn’t have been there for working, we would have loved to go there to enjoy a day in Samlesbury Hall. The atmosphere is great, the history is interesting, and the stuff in the Gift Shop is lovely! We also would love to come to Preston again in the future, just to see, how it’s going. We only can recommend a visit, because it’s worth it!
