Find Maria’s Tea Room & Gift Shop in the pretty Italian courtyard at Samlesbury Hall.
Enjoy a hot cuppa over a scrumptious selection of home baked cakes, scones and traybakes. There are also some super savouries, including scotch eggs, sausage rolls and pies – all made by our fabulous team of chefs for you to enjoy
Everything is made in house, using locally sourced produce.
Maria’s Tea Room is dog friendly, well behaved pooches on leads welcome (there’s even doggy ice-cream for your four legged friends).
Ice-creams are a must, especially on a sunny summer’s day in the courtyard – but we wouldn’t say no to a decadent ice-cream sundae in the depths of winter!

The King’s High Tea
In the cosy setting of Maria’s Tea Room at Samlesbury Hall, sit and savour a delicious treat, including locally made fruit cake enjoyed by King Charles III himself when he visited the Hall in February ’26. With a lovely selection of sweet and savoury, all homemade in our kitchens for you to enjoy, of course with plenty of top-ups of loose leaf tea or filter coffee, and a drop of runny honey in your tea just like the King! On a sunny afternoon, enjoy in our beautiful Italianate courtyard by the fountain.

- ½ Lancashire cheese sandwich, with tomato & onion chutney
- ½ Roast ham & mustard mayo sandwich
- Pork sausage roll
- Scone with raspberry jam & clotted cream
