Great place to go with family. 4 of us, and the dog, slept comfortably. We enjoyed lots of walks, BBQ, playground and a lovely coffee place. In the evening we had a takeaway from local pizza place and enjoyed it in front of the fire pit. We are definitely going back soon with family and friends, and more dogs, we had a lovely stay.
With a hamlet of 25 Shepherd’s Huts, we have enough space to accommodate any sized group. Family parties, birthday celebrations, hen dos, well behaved stags… You’re all welcome, and you can even bring the dog! Spend an unforgettable evening toasting marshmallows round the firepit.
The entire site can be booked exclusively if you wished meaning your party would be completely private. Book online, or contact our friendly team to make sure we can place you in the best location

Some of the Shepherd’s Huts are especially reserved for families with four legged friends. Well behaved dogs always welcome for a small fee.
There’s plenty for families too, from the woodland adventure trail and Mayflower playground to a mini-golf course and driving range, just steps from the hamlet. When the Hall is open, admission is free. Don’t miss the incredible home bakes in Maria’s Tea Room or a delicious breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea in the award-winning Garden Room Eatery, which proudly serves locally sourced ingredients. Booking is recommended – tables are limited!

We do have one more accessible hut which can be accessed via a ramp and has a widened doorway. In this hut there are no bunk beds, instead there is a comfy double bed. The shower room is a wet room providing you with more space. Cars can be parked outside this hut, with a short walk along a shale pathway. To book this hut, reserve Hut 20 – or speak with reception directly.
