We’ve changed the name! How do you like The Garden Room Eatery?!

We listened to our customers and prospective brides who didn’t think “café” did it justice.  The delicious quality of the locally sourced food that our chefs serve, together with the prettiness of the interior and absolutely delightful festoon lit gardens make The Garden Room Eatery a foodie destination.

Fido loves us!

The Garden Room Eatery is completely dog friendly – we would ask that you and your pooch respect other diners, there might even be a biscuit for the best behaved!

With all the greenery and the feeling of freshness, not only with the surroundings, friendly table service, pretty glassware and extra special cutlery and crockery – the Garden Room Eatery goes from strength to strength.

Open every day apart from Mondays, from home cooked breakfasts at 8:30am, all day brunch, lunches from 12noon til 3pm and not forgetting our ever-popular afternoon teas and delicious Sunday roast.

The Garden Room is becoming a popular wedding venue, for those beautifully bijou ceremonies and incredible chef prepared wedding breakfasts with your closest family and friends. Weddings are held from 4pm onwards, so we are still open every day for our regular diners.

Many of our couples are also enjoying the Garden Room ‘The Night Before’ their wedding… a smaller party, scrummy food and plenty of drink, with lots of excited chat about the day to follow!  It means they also get another night in our fabulous Shepherd’s Huts, which are becoming a much bigger part of the wonderful and quirky offers Samlesbury Hall has.

Enquiries are coming thick and fast for evening celebrations. When the sun goes down the beautiful sparkly lights inside and festoon lights outside, make it such a pretty venue for many festivities.  Bespoke dining or pizza, prosecco and Peroni – it’s entirely up to you!

Not to forget private dining during the daytime, be it a baby shower, birthday celebration, a hen party or simply an excuse to get together with pals!  For exclusivity, minimum numbers apply of course. Just ask! You can always contact us on 01254 812010 or enquiries@smalesburyhall.co.uk.

Let’s not forget the magnificent Hall itself, we are proud to be 699 years old (it’s a big birthday next year!)  Come and visit, every penny in income goes towards keeping the Hall beautiful for another 700 years.

Here’s what you can do when you’re here…

  • Treat yourself to an unbelievably scrumptious waffle.
  • Meander around the ancient rooms, do not miss the witches garret and the ghost room.
  • Explore the children’s play area and hook-a-duck?
  • Go glamping in a Shepherd’s Hut
